How to Get Epona in Ocarina of Time

This article is a basic guide to get Epona in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64. This is not a guide for the whole game. Getting Epona is a big improvement and worth rescuing from Ingo. Read on to find out exactly how to do this.

Method 1 of 2: Getting to Lon Lon ranch and Epona

1- Find Lon Lon Ranch. Zelda After meeting with the palace and being escorted out of the castle by Impa, you are face to face with a drawbridge. Instead of going immediately to the Death Mountain as Impa tells you note in front of where you stand. You should see as a large group of houses on the hilltop. That’s the Lon Lon Ranch.

2- Enter the Lon Lon Ranch. This’s where Talon (the man who is sleeping near the palace) and her daughter live. Upon entering, follow the path until you reach a sort of circle track.

3- Learn the “Epona song.” Enter the barn where the horses are and see a little girl in the middle singing. Talk to her. I thank you for waking my father, and I will talk about the song you’re singing. Take out your ocarina and learn the “Song of Epona.

4- Leave Lon Lon Ranch and go to Death Valley. Keep playing until you reach the Temple of Time and take the sword.

5- Return to Lon Lon Ranch when you grow up. You’ll see that is not the magical place it was when you were a kid. Now the farm is at the hands of Ingo, who has sworn allegiance to Ganandorf. You will see that the ranch now you used to play horse racing. Pay her to Ingo, and choose to enter any horse to run. After the time is up, Ingo will tell you to leave.

6- Pay back, take out your ocarina and play Epona’s song. Epona will go with you. Mount it and walks to where is Ingo. While you’re on Epona, press “Z” to see to Ingo and press “A” to talk to him. Will challenge you to a race, apost├índote 50 rupees. Accept the terms of the bet.

If you want, practice first with Epona. Move the joystick in the direction you want to go, it’s very simple.Get Epona in Ocarina of Time Step 6Bullet1.jpg

Method 2 of 2: Challenge Ingo on Epona

1- Challenge Ingo to a race. Ingo try to stay outside, but not very successful. When you’re on par, press “A” to Epona run faster and pass it.

2- After winning, Ingo get angry and start screaming about Ganandorf. then you will challenge a second career. If you win, you win Epona.

3- Use the same strategy as the previous race. Ingo go much faster than last time, but there is not much you can do about it. Just give it your best and keep trying.Once you’re on the inside of the track, do not give up. It will take a lot of effort to spend Ingo if it goes outside the door, just remember to keep your position and you will be fine.

Do not give him many carrot Epona. Although sometimes could beat Ingo using many carrots quickly, it is better to use a few. Do not use a lot at the beginning or you’ll run out carrots to use when you really need them, that is, at the end of the race.

4- Once he win Ingo was quite angry. You’ll say that you can stay with the horse, but you can not get away from the ranch and close the gate laughing maniacally. It seems that all is lost, right? You are wrong!

5- Find a way to jump the fence. Ingo Now lock the gate, you have two options. The difficult choice: Ingo run straight and jump the fence. It has to be perfect or you will end up running straight at him.

Easiest option: left the ranch there is a wall. From the entrance, run to the wall at an angle. You do not have to be perfect, the horse will jump anyway.

6- He lands on the other side of the wall and enjoy your freedom and speed Epona. Now you can enjoy the benefits of having a horse. Now you can cross the world in about thirty seconds instead of 3 minutes it would take off without Epona.

Epona is not an essential part in the game. I do not really “need”, but it’s a big help, so try to get it.
